Holocaust-claims legislation on hold

A US federal judge has temporarily barred California officials from enforcing a state law requiring insurers, under pain of losing their business licences, to submit lists of their unpaid Holocaust-era insurance claims. Judge William Shrubb moved to prevent California insurance commissioner Chuck Quackenbush from acting until the court decides whether the law is constitutional.
