India IRDA consults on ground rules

India’s Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has formulated new ground rules covering solvency margins and investment and accounting regulations. The new rules also define the amount of rural business that new players will be obliged to accept and establishes a code of conduct for surveyors, brokers and loss assessors.
