Royal & SunAlliance

The history of UK’s Royal and SunAlliance (RSA) stretches back almost to the beginning of the modern insurance industry. The Sun Fire Office was established back in 1710 and is the oldest insurance company in existence still trading under its original name. The Alliance was founded in 1824 and the Royal in 1845. The modern company was created by the merger of Royal Insurance and Sun Alliance in 1996.
