NRMA cleared to float

The New South Wales Supreme Court has cleared the way for the A$3-5bn float of NRMA, Australia’s largest general insurer. The decision is the final step in a two-stage process for approving a scheme of arrangement for the demutualisation of NRMA, six years after the last demutualisation attempt failed due to successful court action brought by dissident directors opposed to the move.
