NIA

New India Assurance (NIA), India’s largest non-life player, has obtained permission from the Chinese authorities to open a representative office in Beijing. NIA chairman SK Kanwar said the company is seeking a license to operate in the commercially important Shenzen Province. Chinese insurance licenses permit overseas companies to operate in a specific region and not throughout the country.
