Hacker warning

The New Zealand Insurance Council has warned that companies and website providers will have to introduce adequate security standards before the New Zealand insurance industry provides insurance cover against attacks by computer hackers. These standards would be fundamentally the same as those applied to other sections of insurance which provide cover for damage, said Chris Ryan, chief executive of the Council.
