MoD pays £4.7mn to brain damaged soldier
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has paid £4.7mn to a former SAS soldier who suffered a devastating brain injury. The Court of
Appeal rejected an MoD appeal over the level of damages. The ex-solider was on duty in the Middle East, when he was hit in
the head by shrapnel from a mortar round fired by another member of the SAS. He requires 24-hour care.
