Mistaken cancer diagnosis victim to sue
A man who spent his life savings and gave up work after doctors mistakenly said he had six months to live is to sue for damages.
He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer two years ago. He spent his life savings on expensive meals, gave up his job with
the local council and stopped making his mortgage repayments. However, following a second examination it was found that he
had only been suffering from non-fatal pancreatis. He has been forced to sell his house in order to survive financially. The
hospital denies the charge of negligence.
