Widow wins £90,000 over husband’s mesothelioma death

A widow has won £90,000 in compensation following the death of her late husband, aged 86, from mesothelioma. He was exposed to the lethal asbestos dust while working as a storeman for an aircraft manufacturer during the 1960s. The out-of-court settlement followed admission of liability by the company which took over his employer, which initially fought the claim.
