£63,000 for racial discrimination
A black worker has won £63,000 for racial discrimination by his employers in an education company. A tribunal ruled that the
man had been racially discriminated against by senior managers. His pay had been docked, and there had been delays in dealing
with his complaints. The award included £3,000 aggravated damages for what the tribunal described as “wilful and deliberate”
refusal to accept his grievance appeal.
