Discrimination over conversion to Islam

An employment tribunal has ruled that a Muslim woman had suffered discrimination at work when her boss made comments about her decision to convert to Islam. She said she was humiliated by her boss’s remarks. The tribunal said the company had discriminated against her by not fully investigating her complaint in a timely manner. She also claimed that because of her complaint she had failed to get a pay rise, lost her company car and had her annual bonus reduced. However, these were rejected by the tribunal. Compensation will be decided at a later date.
