Compensation for widow of cyclist

The widow of a British Cycling member has won a substantial six-figure compensation sum after he was killed when he was hit by a car whilst out on a club run. Having initially admitted liability on behalf of the responsible motorist, his insurers then instructed solicitors to retract that admission and the claim for compensation was fully defended. Following expert accident reconstruction evidence, an agreed settlement was achieved.
