Uniform policy not religious discrimination

An employee was employed by a train company as a customer services assistant. He described himself as a Muslim of Indian origin. His religious beliefs required that his beard was a minimum length of one fist (approximately 4 inches). His employer required him to keep the beard tidy in line with their uniform policy. The issue of his beard was raised on a number of occasions during his employment.
