Mesothelioma sufferer wins damages

A former dockyard and power station worker who suffers from mesothelioma is to receive a five-figure sum in compensation for the pain and suffering he has endured and for lost income. The man claimed he was exposed to asbestos whilst working for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB). The MOD has agreed to pay him 40% and the company which took over part of the CEGB’s work will pay 60% of the compensation.
