MoD pays out £750,000

The Ministry of Defence has paid £750,000 damages to the family of a Royal Navy lieutenant who died during a diving exercise. The MoD admitted liability in the case. Of the award, £637,500 will go to his widow and £112,500 to their daughter who was born after the man’s death.
