£30,000 for asbestos exposure

A 55-year-old former water company employee has been awarded £30,000 in compensation following asbestos exposure. The man was employed as a pipe layer and during the course of his employment was exposed to asbestos dust as he drilled and cut asbestos pipes manufactured by Turner & Newall. The man has developed bilateral diffuse pleural thickening caused by asbestos fibres.
