Consultation on reform of legal aid system.

Lord Falconer, Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs, has begun a consultation programme on radical reform of the legal aid system. The consultation on implementing sweeping changes to the way Government buys legal advice on behalf of the public was begun immediately after the publication of the final report of the independent Review of Legal Aid Procurement chaired by Lord Carter of Coles.
