Contribution to accident

A child walked into a road and was struck by a lorry, suffering a blow to the head which resulted in severe brain damage. Various witnesses provided evidence that she had walked out from between two cars, the nearest car having had some furniture strapped to its roof. A passenger in the truck had provided evidence as had other drivers in the area at the time of the accident. The lorry driver stated that he had not seen her and she had no recollection of the accident.
