Children’s home sued over abuse claims

Two organisations which were responsible for running a Catholic children’s home are being sued over allegations of physical and sexual abuse. Around 140 former pupils claim they were abused while in care. The former principal of the home was jailed for 14 years in 2004 for abusing boys in his care over a 20-year period. He had previously been jailed for seven years for abusing nine boys.
