Code of practice on homosexual rights

The Department of Education and Employment has asked the Equal Opportunities Commission to draw up a code of practice on equal treatment of homosexual people in the workplace. It is expected to require equal access to perks -such as free travel – as enjoyed by married or cohabiting staff, and to prohibit dismissal or lack of promotion on grounds of sexual orientation.
