Nuclear exposure estimate raised
Estimates of the number of people exposed to nuclear radiation last September, at JCO’s Tokaimura processing plant, has been
raised from 70 to 439. The new figures take account of local residents and plant workers who were not equipped with radiation
monitoring devices at the time of the accident.
