Compensation for airport hijack delays

Irate would-be passengers at Stansted Airport, seeking sustenance and sympathy, found that compensation for on-site delay, due to hijack, was not forthcoming. The airport authorities say that, as the situation of accepting the Afghanistan! plane was forced on them by the UK government, they will be looking to their own insurers for compensation for lost business, and passengers should look to the particular airlines they had intended to use.
