Landowners immune from natural hazard liability

Revision of the (‘right to roam’) Countryside Bill will protect landowners from suit by walkers on their land who suffer injury as a result of natural features, such as tree stumps or rabbit holes. They will, however, still be liable for injuries caused by artificial features such as barbed wire or machinery.
