Sellafield saga

Following a hard-hitting report from the chief inspector of the Health & Safety Executive’s Nuclear Inspectorate, Laurence Williams, focusing on falsifications since 1996, chief executive John Taylor has quit beleaguered Sellafield. The new chief executive, Norman Askew, has two months to draw up plans to implement the 28 Nil recommendations to increase safety and tackle ‘serious management failures’.
