Road accident victim wins £850,000

A man who suffered a severe spinal cord injury as a result of a road traffic accident has received an interim payment of £850,000. The man, then a teenager, was travelling in a car as a passenger when the driver lost control of the car and crashed into the side of the road. He suffered a severe spinal cord injury as a result of the crash. The money will be used to purchase a bungalow adapted to his needs as a wheelchair user.
