$17.1mn award against tobacco firm
Philip Morris has been ordered to pay $17.1mn in punitive damages to a woman who claimed that the tobacco firm had failed
to warn her about the dangers of smoking. The 72 year old woman has lung cancer, and began smoking before warning labels went
on cigarettes in the 1960s.
