Equitas pays $84.5mn to settle asbestos claims

Equitas is to pay US group American Standard around $84.5mn to settle all the company’s asbestos claims against the London market.
Equitas is to pay $10mn during the first quarter, and will place the balance into a trust fund for distribution on future asbestos
claims.
