Highest recorded damages for pain and suffering

The widow of a mesothelioma sufferer has been awarded the highest recorded damages for her husband’s pain and suffering following his death. The “pain and suffering” award of £67,000 reflects the radical nature of his treatment which included the removal of his lung and months of intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
