Airbus A380 insurance challenge

The introduction of the 555-passenger Airbus A380 aircraft poses significant insurance challenges for airlines, according to Wayne Wignes, president of Aon’s Aviation Group. Mr Wignes predicts that insurance liability limits will rise for the entire industry, regardless of whether a given airline places an order for the A380. The new aircraft has a tail assembly nearly 80 feet high and a fuselage measuring nearly 240 feet.
