Blackberry devices may damage thumbs

Doctors have warned that handheld Blackberry devices may cause damage to the thumbs of users. The device can be used to email, page and phone. Doctors in the US and the UK warned that repetitive use could cause osteoarthritis or other damage to the thumb. The company which manufacturers the device said no-one had come forward with any problems, and the doctors had not reported any cases.
