£3.9mn award for hospital bug infection
A woman who was infected with listeria at a hospital as a baby has been awarded £3.9mn in compensation. She was put in a cot
next to a baby with listeria. She was left with learning difficulties and mobility problems after being diagnosed with hydrocephalus
more than a year later. The woman, now 20, received a formal apology in January, and the trust admitted liability.
