Flight attendant’s second-hand smoke award upheld
The $500,000 award to a flight attendant who said her bronchitis and sinus trouble was caused by second-hand smoke on planes
has been upheld at appeal in the US. The ruling was said to be a test case for a $349mn settlement between the tobacco industry
and non-smoking attendants in 1997.
