Motor insurer Highway in possible takeover

UK motor insurer Highway is in talks over a possible takeover. The board of Highway confirmed that it has received approaches from a number of parties who have expressed an interest in making an offer for the company. The board said that discussions are at a preliminary stage and it is too early for the board to be able to determine whether these discussions will result in any formal offer being made for the company.
