Insurers refuse to pay Smith & Nephew claims
It has been reported that two insurers have refused to reimburse Smith & Nephew (S&N) over claims relating to patients needing
further surgery after the withdrawal of S&N’s knee implant product. The claims are from excess layer product liability policies.
The companies’ names were not disclosed.
