Stress-related absence increases

A survey of 1,110 UK employers carried out by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s (CIPD), entitled “Employee Absence 2004: A survey of management policy and practice” has found that a majority of employers have noticed an increase in stress-related absence during the past twelve months. It also reveals that overall absence levels and the associated costs have increased.
