Compensation for burns to hands

A woman has been paid £4,700 compensation after being badly burned while cleaning machinery at work. The woman was cleaning a processing machine that she had been working on when the incident occurred. As she reached into the bucket of hot water to collect her cloth, the hot water ran over the top of her gloves, burning her badly. She sustained burns to her wrist, hand and fingers and has been left with some permanent scarring.
