Compensation for gravestone victim
Compensation of £33,000 has been paid by a council to the parents of a young boy who was crushed to death by a gravestone
which fell on him. The council made the out-of-court settlement without admitting liability. It was reported that the level
of damages largely recognises the trauma suffered by the mother of the boy who saw the whole incident, and the injuries suffered
by her child.
