Insurers set for new exposures from UK leasehold reform

Professional indemnity and directors’ and officers’ insurers face new risks as the rental market shifts in the UK

THE UK’s leasehold sector is undergoing its biggest transformation since the cladding crisis and these are likely to translate into increased claims for professional indemnity (PI) insurers of surveyors, valuers, property managers, solicitors and conveyancers, as well as new exposures for directors’ and officers’ (D&O) insurers.
