H1 insured losses hit six-year low at $42bn: Swiss Re

Severe convective storms remained biggest insured-loss driver in the period

NATURAL catastrophes cost insurers $42bn in the first half of the year, a relatively moderate toll despite severe storm activity in North America and global heating, according to Swiss Re.
