CSA was in the business of chartering vessels to carry cargoes of scrap metal from Ghent, Belgium. Since 2008 CSA had insured
its potential liability under FDD policies. At that time CSA stated that it was carrying only "clean" rather than greasy scrap.
The policy was renewed in 2022.
