LMA wording excludes Hormuz toll payments

Under the model wording, insurers will not cover fees, tolls or other payments made to facilitate passage through Iranian waters

TRANSIT fees, tolls and other payments made to enable vessels to pass through Iranian territorial waters or otherwise transit the Strait of Hormuz will be excluded from cover under a new model clause published by the Lloyd’s Market Association.
