Recent court rulings clarify Arbitration Act powers in insurance cases

The English courts are reluctant to review arbitral awards, but they will do so in very limited circumstances

ENGLISH courts have in recent years handed down judgments making clear that they will support and uphold the parties’ presumed choice when selecting arbitration that there should be a swift and effective final determination with very limited court involvement thereafter in policing — challenging or setting aside — those arbitral awards.
