How AI is transforming W&I underwriting

Artificial intelligence is a natural fit for text-heavy, multi-variable and analytically complex underwriting, like warranty and indemnity

ARTIFICIAL intelligence (AI) adoption in the global insurance space is expanding at pace, with one survey reporting an 87% year-on-year increase in use cases as of the fourth quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, a survey of US insurers published last June found that 90% of respondents were evaluating the use of Generative AI and 55% were at the stage of early or full AI adoption.
