SIGCo slams US government ‘coercion’ over $40m OPA90 claim

MARINE insurer  Shipowners Insurance and Guaranty Co (SIGCo) has settled a four-year legal dispute with the US government, which was seeking Oil Pollution Act 1990 compensation for a casualty that did not involve the spillage of any oil.
