Impact of unpredictable weather patterns on the maritime world

In the decade since the Paris Agreement was signed at the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21), progress towards the stated ambitions for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions has been intermittent, uneven and on some measures in reverse. In this article, we review the impact of climate change, particularly the risks posed by unpredictable weather patterns to maritime ventures both at sea and in port.
