Perils raises Nils loss estimate to nearly $767m

Nils struck southern France in February, causing extensive wind damage and avalanches

ZURICH-based loss aggregator Perils has raised its insured loss estimates for storm Nils to €767m ($898.2m).

Storm Nils, also known as Storm Ulrike, struck southern France between February 11 and February 13, killing two and causing extensive wind damage as it passed from the Atlantic coast to the Mediterranean.
