The Fridman service dilemma: Agrofirma says home is where you cannot be

The Court of Appeal's decision in Fridman v Agrofirma Oniks LLC [2026] EWCA Civ 139 is an important authority on personal jurisdiction in English law. Although framed as a dispute about service under Civil Procedure Rule (CPR) Part 6, the case ultimately required the court to revisit: what gives the English court's jurisdiction in personam, and can procedural compliance alone create it?
