CFAs should enhance not impede

The Court of Appeal has ruled in favour of conditional fee agreements (CFAs) in a long running case involving technical challenges by insurers to the deals. Insurers had claimed that lawyers were not complying with the Access to Justice Act 1999 by delegating to unqualified staff the requirement to explain a case to clients.
