ABI says reports are positive

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) says that the Government reports on the future of liability insurance ‘are a positive start in the search for long-term solutions.’ But it has renewed its call for long-term fundamental reform, including the provision of greater certainty about claims costs going forward, particularly for occupational diseases; a reduction in legal costs and better use of rehabilitation; and help for businesses in accessing the market for liability insurance, with credit for good health and safety practice and affordable premiums.
