Liability Risk and Insurance
ABI says reports are positive
The Association of British Insurers (ABI) says that the Government reports on the future of liability insurance ‘are a positive
start in the search for long-term solutions.’ But it has renewed its call for long-term fundamental reform, including the
provision of greater certainty about claims costs going forward, particularly for occupational diseases; a reduction in legal
costs and better use of rehabilitation; and help for businesses in accessing the market for liability insurance, with credit
for good health and safety practice and affordable premiums.
