CCC (by Her Mother and Litigation Friend, MMM) v Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust [2026] UKSC 5

The Supreme Court has removed the bar on awarding damages for "the lost years" in cases involving young claimants. A child claimant succeeded in recovering damages for financial loss caused by her inability to work during the years of life she had lost due to the defendant's clinical negligence.
